From phone notifications to our precious little children demanding our utmost attention, it can be hard to remain focused on a project that needs to be completed, ASAP. Here are 3 tips to maximize your focus power, right now!

Plan Ahead

If you have something important to complete, it may be best to clear the distractions around you in order to concentrate on what you need to get done. Procrastination comes easy, but it will build up and get in the way of what you really want to do. Clear the distractions from around you-some may be little as shopping lists or cleaning. No matter how big or small, get it done so you don’t have to worry about it later.

Study Atmosphere

You can boost your focus power with the right atmosphere. The atmosphere may be a local coffee shop, your bedroom (with a lot of sunlight), a library or office workspace. It should be a place that’s quiet with minimal distractions. But if you can’t escape from a busy area, have a pair of quality soundproof headphones to play quiet music.

Mind Mapping

Mind mapping is a great way to increase your focus power. Simply, have a separate piece of paper and write down words or pictures that come to mind for 5 minutes. This is advised to be done before you start your project. Mind mapping helps to release topics out of your mind and onto a piece of paper to help clear your thinking. This will create more creative visuals and a clear thought process.

If you have something in specific that needs your attention, plan ahead to make space to get it done. Clear away the distractions, find the right study atmosphere and write it down to get it out of your head and onto paper. With the right eating habits and a good rest, these simple steps are quick to work if your favor.
